Brand new Class 444 No. 44021 and part finished set No. 450011 (which was delivered to the UK for testing and now returned to Germany) are seen stabled in the test centre yard at Siemens Wildenrath 4 March 2004.

Siemens Transportation operate one of the most advanced test tracks in the world at Wildenrath, Germany. A site converted from an old WW2 Royal Air Force bomber base. The facility sees the testing of virtually every new train produced by the company.
